Charming guest house in the heart of the Provencal village of Fontvieille Le Mas Calao is located at the foot of the Alpilles mountains, a few km from Les Baux de Provence and the ancient city of Arles. The owners discovered this beautiful sleeping building after years of searching. A complete renovation reveals all its charm, combining original old elements and modern comforts in a timeless decoration. We will be happy to welcome you warmly within these beautiful walls, around the swimming pool (11m by 5m) and in a quiet and lush garden. General Information The courtyard allows vehicles to be parked inside the property, which is itself totally fenced. Given the depth of the pool, we do not recommend our guesthouse for young children. In addition, we inform you that we are unfortunately not able to accommodate pets, and that the house is non-smoking. Finally, it is not possible to have meals in the suites and in the common areas.

Attention to detail and harmony in each of the Mas Calao suites. Attis Suite: The village, the laurels, the jasmines and the jujube trees as a horizon... A bright decoration with 1940 and contemporary accents.... The 27m2 Attis suite is located upstairs. It consists of a very large bedroom with storage and queen size bed 160cm, and a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet. It faces south and benefits from air conditioning. Olympes Suite: When the foothills of the Alpilles appear on the horizon... A gentle classic Provençal atmosphere. Suite of 28m2 situated upstairs. It is composed of a landing/entrance, a room with a 160cm queensize bed, a bathroom with bathtube, and separated toilets. It faces north with a view on the garden and pool. A fan equipped the bedroom. Iskandar Suite: A window opening onto the terrace on the garden and pool side… A contemporary design punctuated with Asian accents. The 43m2 Iskandar suite is located upstairs. It is exposed to the North. It consists of an entrance/dressing room, a large bedroom with a 140cm bed and a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilets. It has a fan, a 55” screen and a DVD player. Sinbad Suite: In the shade of the fig tree…. An intimate atmosphere with oriental accents. The 18m2 Sinbad suite is located on the ground floor. It consists of an entrance/dressing room, a bedroom with a 140cm bed, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate toilets. It has a ceiling fan.

Attis Suite: bathroom with walk-in shower and toilets. Olympes Suite: bathroom with bathtube, and separated toilets. Iskandar Suite: bathroom with walk-in shower and toilets. Sinbad Suite: bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate toilets.

Health and Safety

Given the depth of the pool, we do not recommend our guesthouse for young children. However, teh swimming pool is totally protected by a security cover during the night.

We have implemented a very strict and precise protocol in order to guarantee impeccable hygiene. After the departure of our guests, the guest rooms and the gîte are ventilated, cleaned and disinfected. The cleaning is carried out with wearing of mask and gloves: cleaning, rinsing, drying and disinfection (handles, switches, toilets, floors are disinfected). Liquid soap is provided in each bathroom. Soap dispensers are disinfected.
